Eye Examination

Your eyes are a very important part of you, so its vital that you have regular check-ups. It is recommended that every adult has an eye exam every 2 years, or every year if you are a contact lens wearer, or family members have certain health issues. Children are normally recommended to be seen from every 6 months to 18 months depending on each individual case.

The purpose of an eye exam is not just to check your vision. The tests carried out in the test room can be used to check for many different health problems, such as diabetes, glaucoma or macular degeneration. The earlier these types of issues are found, the higher the possibility of treatment.

The optician that you see will carry out a number of tests, including: OCT, Retinal photography, refraction, fields test and pressure checks.
